Because Code Orange by Catherine B. Cooney deals with issues of terrorism and biological warfare, I would like you to complete a research project about an infectious disease.
A completed project will
v Have a title slide at the beginning stating the title of the project, your name, and the date
v Have worked cited slide
v Be visually appealing
v Answering the following questions:
1. What is your disease?
· How can you get it?
· What are the symptoms of the disease?
· Is it curable? How?
2. Come up with a TIMELINE for the disease detail major outbreaks in history
· Where was it?
· What was thought to be the main cause?
· How many people were affected?
· When did it stop and why?
3. What is biological warfare?
· Why is your disease a good candidate for biological warfare?
· Has it been used in the past? Where? When? Why? Who was harmed? Who intentionally infected them?
· Is there anything we do to protect ourselves against this disease?
You will be expected to present your completed project to the class on Friday November 18th.
