1.)    Rewrite Ferdinand and Prospero’s conversation at the beginning of Act 4 into modern English (147-151… you can leave out the part with Ariel).  Please attach your script.

2.)    What are you feelings about Miranda after hearing this conversation?

3.)    Immediately following the conversation, Prospero puts on a play for Ferdinand and Miranda.  The play features Juno, the symbol of marriage and family life in Roman mythology, and Ceres, the symbol of agriculture, and thus of nature, growth, prosperity, and rebirth, all notions intimately connected to marriage. 

After reading the play within a play, do you think it focuses more on the romantic aspects of love, or the more practical side?  Why (use examples from the text please)?
